VIGO Photonics among founders of the Cluster of Autonomous Technologies

On January 30, 2025, the Autonomous Technologies Cluster was established at the UKSW Multidisciplinary Research Center. The cluster aims to integrate Polish companies and research units developing key technologies for autonomous land, air, sea and space vehicles.

In the face of geopolitical challenges, it strives for Poland's technological sovereignty, combining the potential of the country's universities, institutes and companies in a coherent cooperation strategy. The Cluster of Autonomous Technologies was an initiative of Lieutenant General Waldemar Skrzypczak, former Commander of the Land Forces.

Cluster membership is an opportunity to exchange experience, know-how and innovation, which accelerates technological development. Combining the resources and competencies of various entities enables the creation of more advanced solutions, and cooperation facilitates the acquisition of funding for research and development. Thanks to synergies, cluster members increase their competitiveness in the domestic and international markets, and the cluster actively promotes their interests, paving the way for new partnerships and contracts.

Among the founders, in addition to VIGO Photonics and the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications (KIGEiT), which is also the Cluster Coordinator, are such companies as Apator, Atende Industries, BORIMEX ZK sp. z o.o., TELESYSTEM-MESKO Development and Implementation Center, Elproma Electronics, GeniCore Sp. z o.o., Phoenix Systems, Poznan University of Technology (Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence), REA SPACE, SKB Drive Tech S.A., Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw, VERA HOLDING.

On the part of VIGO Photonics, the event was attended by Marcin Szrom, Chief Operational Officer, Marcin Janiszewski, Sales&Marketing Director and Przemysław Kalinowski, IR Imaging Sensors Department Director.
