VIGO at Photonics West 2025

20 January 2025

A futuristic digital landscape depicting a glowing, circuit-like highway with bright blue lights and abstract patterns extending into the horizon, set against a dark, misty background.

From 28 to 30 January 2025, VIGO Photonics will showcase its latest advancements in mid-IR sensing and photonic integration at Photonics West in San Francisco.

Visit us at the booth #1961 to explore cutting-edge technologies, learn about groundbreaking research, and connect with our experts shaping the future of infrared photonics.

One of the key highlights of our participation is the presentation "HyperPIC: On the Road to Mid-IR Photonic Integrated Circuits" by Ryszard Piramidowicz, PIC Program Director, on 29 January at 8:20 AM in Room 307. This talk will explore how Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) are transforming industries such as IoT, automotive, and digital health. Learn how expanding into the mid-infrared spectral range is unlocking entirely new possibilities for next-generation sensors and how the MIRPIC platform—developed in collaboration with leading research institutions—is paving the way for the first mid-IR PIC foundry. If you’re looking to stay ahead in the photonics revolution, this is a presentation you won’t want to miss.

On 30 January at 2:40 PM in Room 101, Andrzej Janaszek, Senior Detector Development Engineer, will discuss the latest advancements in multistage photovoltaic HOT MIR detectors. His presentation, "Multistage Photovoltaic HOT MIR Detectors: Various Designs Comparison" will dive into the challenges of designing MIR HOT detectors with large active areas and address LWIR photodiode efficiency issues. He will introduce an innovative multistage detector technology that overcomes these limitations, delivering improved performance for demanding mid-IR applications.

On 29 January at 2:00 PM in Demo Area 2, Jędrzej Mijas, Aplication Engineer will lead the showcase and explain how cryo-cooled technology is pushing the boundaries of infrared sensing, enabling cutting-edge applications across multiple industries. See for yourself how these detectors enhance sensitivity and open up new possibilities for advanced sensing solutions.

Photonics West is the world’s leading trade fair for optics and photonics, providing the perfect opportunity to present our latest infrared detection solutions, developed to meet the evolving needs of gas analysis, spectroscopy, telecommunications, and industrial monitoring.
