VIGO at 46th Freiburg Infrared Colloquium

10 March 2025

A futuristic digital landscape depicting a glowing, circuit-like highway with bright blue lights and abstract patterns extending into the horizon, set against a dark, misty background.

We are delighted to announce that VIGO will be participating in the 46th Freiburg Infrared Colloquium, taking place on March 18-19, 2025, in Freiburg, Germany.

The Freiburg Infrared Colloquium is a biennial scientific conference on infrared lasers, detectors and optoelectronics. It provides a unique forum for discussing both currently relevant topics on the development of infrared technologies and their applications in a wide range of different disciplines.

On March 19 Bartłomiej Seredyński will deliver a talk on:
"Cascade Detectors Optimized for Mid-IR Integrated Photonics Platform"

The talk will focus on mid-infrared cascade photodetectors, developed within the MIRPIC (Mid-IR Photonic Integrated Circuits) platform – developed by VIGO Photonics, Warsaw University of Technology, and Lukasiewicz Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics. These devices, based on Ga-free type-II superlattice (T2SL) structures grown via molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), are optimized for hot operating temperatures, featuring low dark currents, high responsivity, and seamless integration with the developed technological platform.

We encourage all attendees to join this session and take part in the discussion. It will be an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and breakthroughs in this rapidly evolving field.

We look forward to meeting fellow researchers, industry experts, and potential collaborators in Freiburg. If you are attending, be sure to connect with us! See you in Freiburg!
