We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager for the Photonics Integrated Circuits (PIC) sector. If you have a passion for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and working in the innovative field of photonics, this is the role for you.
In this position, you will drive market development, acquire new clients, and build long-term partnerships. You’ll also play a key role in creating sales strategies and fostering growth opportunities, all while being the main point of contact for our clients. Job-related tasks:

  • Business Development:
    • Actively and independently identify new business opportunities with key players, actual or
    potential competitors, and potential opportunities in the mid-IR PICs sector and outline how to
    engage them in an efficient way.
    • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
    • Go to market and sales strategy co-creation in the Photonic Integrated Circuit market.
    • Identify partnership and collaboration opportunities and propose a strategy for building and
    maintaining strategic alliances.

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for local and international clients.
    • Address client needs through consistent communication , tailored solutions and monitoring of
    customer satisfaction.
    • Organize and lead client meetings, presentations, and teleconferences to maintain
    engagement. Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to exceed sales quotas.

  • Operational and Sales Support:
    • Handle contracts, sales reports and forecasts, client documentation.
    • Liaise effectively between potential clients and internal HyperPIC project team to ensure
    seamless collaboration.

  • Sales and Marketing Activities:
    • Competitor analysis and identifying new areas for business development. Tracking trends in
    the Photonics industry and proposing innovative solutions tailored to customer needs to stay
    ahead of industry trends.
    • Identifying key marketing channels and promotional activities and Represent the HyperPIC
    brand professionally in all client interactions and events.
    • Prepare financial projections, risk analysis and ROI analysis.

Required skills and/or experience:

  • • Higher education, preferably in technical fields such as physics, electronics, mechatronics,
    photonics, materials science, or related subjects, to understand the product offer.
    • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in Account Management or Business Development, with
    a focus on sales in the high-tech industry.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage at an international
    level.
    • Knowledge of advanced CRM tools (SalesForce preferred) and a track record of successfully
    building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
    • Fluent in English (minimum C1 level).
    • Highly committed with a focus on delivering top-quality results and driving company growth.
    • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, and openness to reporting results.
    • Willingness to travel locally and internationally to client premises as required.
